Lower Sandy Floating Cleanup

Enjoy a free, relaxing float down the lower section of the Sandy River while picking up trash in an area important to human recreation and wildlife habitat.

Volunteers of all skill levels over the age of ten, accompanied by an adult, are welcome. Wear appropriate clothing to get wet (avoid cotton) and footwear for walking along rocky beaches, and bring a water bottle.

Register to reserve your seat on a raft or bring your own flotation!

We will meet at Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area, and leave cars to shuttle to our launch point at Dabney State Park. If you have your own craft (including inner tubes), please bring a paddle and life vest to go with it.

Meeting Location: Lewis & Clark State Park, 1 Jordan Rd, Troutdale. From I-84 take exit 18. Turn left onto Crown Point Hwy and Lewis & Clark State Park will be on your right.
